THE DJ RAY EXPERIENCE

Your Wedding Should Feel Effortless.

The best wedding receptions don't feel over-planned.

They simply flow.

Behind that effortless feeling is careful preparation, communication, experience and someone who understands exactly what needs to happen next.

That's the DJ Ray experience.

THE PREPARATION

It Starts Long Before The Wedding Day

My work doesn't begin when I turn on the music.

Long before your wedding, we start planning together.

I want to understand you as a couple.

Your families.

Your friends.

Your cultures.

Your personalities.

The moments that matter most.

And most importantly, how you want your wedding to feel.

Step 1 — Let's Get To Know Each Other

Once your date is confirmed, the planning begins.

You'll receive detailed planning forms covering your wedding timeline, music, formalities, family information and the important people involved in your celebration.

This gives me the foundation I need to understand your wedding properly.

Step 2 — The Big Planning Meeting

This is one of my favourite parts of the process.

We sit down together and go through your wedding in detail.

Not just the songs.

The whole experience.

We look at your timeline, introductions, speeches, formalities, first dance, family dynamics, cultural traditions and the atmosphere you want throughout the evening.

This is where decades of wedding experience becomes incredibly valuable.

Step 3 — Fine-Tuning The Details

After our planning meeting, I continue refining your timeline and checking the details.

If something doesn't quite work, I'll tell you.

If I see an opportunity to improve the flow, I'll suggest it.

If something important has been overlooked, we'll fix it before the wedding day.

The goal is simple:

When your wedding arrives, you shouldn't be worrying about the reception.

Step 4 — Ceremony

From guest arrival music through to your walk back down the aisle as newlyweds, every moment is thoughtfully planned, carefully coordinated and professionally delivered.

The ceremony should feel emotional and natural — never awkward or rushed.

Step 5 — Reception

This is where all the preparation comes together.

Introductions.

Speeches.

Dinner.

Formalities.

First dance.

Family moments.

Dancefloor.

Every part of the evening needs to connect naturally with the next.

Ray guides the room while constantly reading the atmosphere and adapting when required.

Then The Party Begins

A great dancefloor isn't created by pressing play on a list of songs.

It's created by watching people.

Reading reactions.

Understanding generations.

Recognising when to build the energy — and when not to.

Every room is different.

That's what makes every wedding exciting.

One Person. One Energy. One Flow.

Traditionally, couples hire one person to DJ and another person to MC.

That can work.

But it can also create gaps between the person controlling the music and the person controlling the room.

With Ray handling both roles, the evening becomes one seamless experience.

The announcements, music, energy and timing all work together.

Guests feel it.

Couples remember it.
